Sarah Elizabeth Larson was born March 6, 1985, in Georgetown. On Sunday morning, May 28, she passed away peacefully at her home in Taylor, following a lengthy illness.

Sarah attended Coupland schools through the eighth grade and graduated from Taylor High School with the class of 2003. After graduation, she attended college at Tarleton State and the University of Texas at Arlington.

She loved her family and friends and never said goodbye without also saying, “I love you.” She loved talking politics and was a staunch “Yellow Dog” Democrat.

She was versed in many subjects, and often loved to use her extensive vocabulary. She enjoyed conversing with anyone and everyone, and never met a stranger. She gave her heart and soul to everything she did – doing nothing half-way and always sparkling to the max.

Sarah was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ray and Doris Shade; uncle, Dennis Shade; paternal grandparents, Franklin Larson, Peggy Larson; and aunt, Pat McCullough.

She is survived by her parents, Todd and Carolyn Larson; sister, Amanda Larson; best friend, Stephanie Cabral; chosen brother, James Jonas; aunts, Diann and husband John Fox, Eileen and husband Tom Mc-Guire, Diane and husband Scott Flook, and Annette Shade; numerous cousins; and her step-grandmother, Estelle Larson.

The family wishes to thank the many people who cared for Sarah during her lengthy illness, especially the doctors, nurses, Center Well Home Health, and caregiver Vernell.

Family and friends gathered for visitation from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 6, at Elgin Funeral Home. A private celebration of Christian burial will be conducted at Elgin Cemetery the following day with Father Kim presiding. Arrangements are care entrusted to Elgin Funeral Home.
