Richard “Shae” Prinz

Richard “Shae” Prinz, 30, went to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ, in Heaven July 18, 2023. Shae was born March 12, 1993, in Austin, and resided in Elgin most of his life.

Richard Shae Prinz attended Elgin Independent School District and graduated from Continental Academy in 2011, He enjoyed the outdoors whether he was working or relaxing at the grill. He was humble, giving, and loved by all who knew him.

Shae was predeceased by his grandparents, Robert Beaver of Elgin, Katherine Beaver and Gene Varley of Buda, and Carl and Doris Prinz of Elgin; his great-grandmother, Jessie Lindgren of Elgin; and his uncle, Gary Beaver of Elgin.

He is survived by his parents, Ric Prinz of Elgin, and Karen Prinz and Don Hyatt of Manor; sister, Michele’ Prinz Williams; brother, AC Prinz and wife Savannah Prinz; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews, all of Elgin.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 26, at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home in Elgin. A funeral service will be Thursday, July 27, at 11 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Austin.
