Elgin youth football hosts squads from China

ROUND ROCK – On July 21, Jacklete Fitness and TurnFit Academy hosted a first-of-its-kind football event in Round Rock.

Three teams from the Elgin (and surrounding areas) represented the “USA” in the contests against the Chengdu Crimson Tide Eagles based out of Chengdu City, China.

There were three matches that took place with an 8U flag football game, an 11U tackle football game and a 13U tackle football game.

The USA 8U Flag team dominated the match from start to finish, winning decidedly over China with a score of 26-6. The 11U USA Tackle team put up a good fight but the Chengdu Eagles were able to secure the win with a score of 3614. The 13U USA Tackle team proved to be too much to handle for the China team and won easily with a score of 32-6.
