Early Ray Carter, 68, of Elgin, passed away surrounded by family Monday, Dec. 18, 2023.

Early Ray Carter leaves in God’s hands to cherish his priceless legacy during their quiet moments with Christ his kids, his sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, aunts, uncles and host of other relatives and friends.

He will be laid in state from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, at Elgin Funeral Home. Family and friends gathered for a celebration of Early’s life, Thursday, Dec. 21, at 6 p.m. at Elgin Funeral Home.
