MCDADE — The McDade High School girls varsity basketball team got back in the win column Friday, Jan. 12 as the Lady Bulldogs under Head Coach Aaron Hallford handled business at home with a 47-20 victory in district play versus the Lady Badgers of Buckholts High School.
McDade was led by a double-double effort from senior Steffanie Zavala as she had a game-high 15 points with a trio of three-pointers made, 11 rebounds, six steals and four assists. Lady Bulldogs sophomore Summer Jacobs also scored in double figures as she finished with 12 points, seven steals, four assists and two rebounds.
McDade junior Jessica Dube added seven points to go along with 10 rebounds and five steals, while sophomore Alexis Pacheco had six points as well as three rebounds and two blocks. Junior Lauren Glosson also scored five points to go along with five steals and four rebounds.
The Lady Bulldogs have a 1A-District 29 game scheduled for Jan. 16 at home versus Calvert High School and then will travel Friday, Jan. 19 at 6 p.m. to take on Richards High School.
