The Eagles picked up their second district victory of the season as Cedar Creek held on Jan. 9 at home for an 83-74 win over the Elgin Wildcats. Despite a 16-point lead for the Eagles in the first half, the visiting Wildcats fought hard and rallied back in the second half to take multiple one-point leads in the fourth quarter. However, the Eagles got some clutch baskets and free throws down the stretch and relied on their dynamic scoring duo in the victory.
Cedar Creek senior Robert Conrad went off for a game-high 37 points with four made three-pointers, five assists, two rebounds and two blocked shots. Eagles junior Kenji Franklin was second on the team in scoring with 25 points with a trio of three-pointers, five rebounds and two assists.
