Four-time Blues Music Award winner Sue Foley is bringing her high-energy, guitar-driven Texas blues to Elgin.
Foley will perform at Millie’s on Main Nov. 15, 212 N. Main St., with her band and showcase a few solo acoustic tracks from her latest album, “One Guitar Woman,” recently released on Stony Plain Records.
“One Guitar Woman” is a solo acoustic tribute to female pioneers of the guitar, according to the artist. True to its title, Foley plays every track on a single nylon- string acoustic guitar, a flamenco Blanca crafted by master luthier Salvadore Castillo, which she purchased during a 2022 trip to Paracho, Mexico.
Millie’s on Main has quickly become a cornerstone for family get-togethers and good shows after it was opened by local residents Stacy and Cody Mauck in January, according to patrons.
