Eagles soar past Panthers

PFLUGERVILLE – The Cedar Creek Eagles finished the season soaring over their final opponent.

Cedar Creek defeated the Pflugerville Panthers 7-4 last Friday, March 10, to win the last game of the season.

The Eagles  traveled to Pflugerville to take on the Panthers and picked up an important win to help them build for next season.

The game went as the score says, as both teams' offenses were clicking, and they often found the back of the net because of it. The Eagles and Panther traded goals with one another before the Eagles tightened up their defense.

Their defensive led to even more opportunities on offense that they did not miss on. The Eagles began to pull away just before halftime, and looked to carry that momentum into the second half.

They did just that, but not without a little bit of push back from the Panthers. The Eagles battled through the adversity of the Panthers late push and scored a couple more goals on their way to a victory.

Though the win did not grant them a spot in the postseason, it will be a big win for the Eagles as they look to the future of their team starting next season. With a 10-10 record to end the season and a young team, the Eagles have a lot to hang their hat on this season and will be back with a vengeance next season.
