Birthella will lie in state Friday, March 24, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Elgin Funeral Home.  Family and friends will gather for a visitation Saturday, March 25, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Mount Carmel Baptist Church.  

A celebration of life will follow at 3 p.m. with Superintendent Fredrick Patterson, Eulogist and Reverend Byron Green, officiant.  Interment will follow at Elgin Latin Cemetery.
