Adrian Jacob Rangel
Adrian Jacob Rangel
He was born on Dec. 27, 1992, in Austin to Augustina Villarreal Rangel and Adrian Martinez Rangel. He was baptized Catholic.
Jacob was born with Cerebral Palsy. He could never verbally speak or walk, but he could light up the room with his big, beautiful eyes and contagious laugh. He loved music. His favorite artist was Kenney G. He loved watching TV with his dad. His favorite show was “The Voice.” He loved spending time with his cousins and watching Disney movies.
He liked going to school and especially riding the bus. He graduated from Elgin High School in 2012.
Jacob made friends everywhere he went. His parents were often surprised by people who knew him.
Jacob gave us the gift of perspective. He reminded us that most of our problems are not really problems, and to be grateful for what we have. We must savor the sweet, beautiful moments we have every day, because ultimately life is fragile and someday all too soon, we must say goodbye. The family's angel on earth is now their angel in heaven.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Augustina and Eusebio Gonzalez Villarreal, and paternal grandfather, Julian Molina Rangel.
He is survived by his parents; sister, Sondra Rangel; niece, Elizabeth Abigial Pritchett; nephews, Thomas Joshua Pritchett and Aidan Joseph Pritchett; and a host of family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Thomas Joshua Pritchett, Aidan Joseph Pritchett, Joseph James Villarreal Jr., Jayden Isaiah Houston, Marcus James Villarreal and Michael Angel Flores.
The family gives special thanks to Britany Flores for her years of caregiving.
