The City Council could decide to name an interim city manager during its meeting Tuesday, Dec. 3, following a decisions to release Tom Mattis from the position.
Council members Nov. 26 unanimously voted to have Mattis step down as the city manager in response to an undisclosed internal matter, city officials said.
Council members said they could not comment on personnel issues. No other reasons for the release were provided.
“The council plans to hold a nationwide search for a new city manager,” Mayor Theresa McShan added.
The meeting is 6:30 p.m. at 404 N. Main St.
