Empowering communities through beef

BASTROP/SMITHVILLE — Feed the Need Missions, a dedicated nonprofit ministry set on feeding people physically and spiritually, announced their new Give Back Beef initiative this past week.

The transformative program aims to create sustainable funding, while providing communities with locally sourced, all-natural beef products, according to representatives.

Founded with a commitment to spread religion through hot meals, Give Back Beef brings together volunteers who donate their time, resources and land to raise cattle. Proceeds from beef sales go back into the community through additional programs, while providing locals with premium products.

Feed the Need Missions will be selling beef in Bastrop at the Primera Baptist Church weekly, 306 Paul C Bell St., from 6 to 7 p.m., and LBA, 290 Pershing Blvd., from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. They will also be in Smithville at MLK Park, 208 Miller St., from 6 to 7 p.m.

The program envisions expanding its reach of ministry on a national scale, according to representatives. They hope to touch more lives one meal at a time, while actively demonstrating and fostering meaningful spiritual connections within communities.

Feed the Need Missions also has weekly sites in Del Valle, La Grange and Lexington.
