MANDA SCHOOL REUNION, FLAGPOLE DEDICATION
MANOR — Join neighbors and friends for a potluck supper to celebrate the Manda School Reunion and Community Homecoming at the Manda School Community Center, 16717 Manda Carlson Road in Manor. Visiting with old and new friends will start at 5 p.m. with supper at 6 p.m. Guestaareaskedtobring a main dish, salad, vegetable or dessert to share. Paper goods and iced tea will be provided. BARBECUE FUNDRAISER
ELGIN — Stop by Jesus the Alpha and Omega Church, 511 E. 6th Street in Elgin, for delicious barbecue. All are welcome to come by and pick up a plateforthechurch’sfundraiser. Plates are $14 and include pork streak, sausage, beans, potato salad and all the trimmings. Plates will be available from11a.m.to2p.m.

SIP & SHOP SMITHVILLE
SMITHVILLE — Join the Smithville Area Chamber of Commerce downtown and other businesses within the downtown historic district from 5 to 8 p.m. The Chamber will sell wristbands, a souvenir wine glass and an opportunity to sample some local wines and brews, and you’ll be able to stroll through the different businesses own samplings of food and drink. You’ll also enjoy specials from participating businesses and from other local shops and vendors setup along Main Street.

FIRST SUNDAY SERVICE
BASTROP — Join Pines & Prairies Land Trust for it’s First Sunday Service Day at the Colorado River Refuge in Bastrop .Meet at the River Trailhead, 233 RiversideDriveinBastrop, at 9 a.m. Work usually includes trimmingandclearing trails. Bring loppers, a trimmer if you have one, gloves and water.
There are no restrooms or drinking water at the Colorado River Refuge so come prepared.
