ELGIN – Celebrate the 150th anniversary of the First United Methodist Church of Elgin Sept. 14 from 3 to 6 p.m. Hear former pastors speak about how FUMC became the first church chartered in Elgin and enjoy some homemade pie, coffee and tea. Special music throughout the day by The Thomas Family, FUMC Choir, Handbells and Praise Team. Meet new pastor Reverand Michael Bell at Sunday morning worship, 11 a.m. in the sanctuary, lunch in the fellowship hall open to all.
