LETTERS

Dear Bastrop County Residents, I am writing to inform you about an important issue that may significantly impact our community.

A new Emergency Services District, ESD No. 3, has been proposed, and if passed in the upcoming November election, it will impose the highest tax rate possible of 10 cents per $100 of property valuation — perpetually.

For example, the median property valuation in Bastrop County is $350,000, which equates to $350 in taxes the first year.

Of course, as your property valuation increases, so will this tax.

This will not only affect homeowners, it will affect our business owners as well. Amber Gagliano
