Various enterprises are joining the Elgin Chamber of Commerce at a rapid rate, signaling a time of growth and excitement in the local business realm.
January featured a number of ribbon cuttings, new memberships, upgraded memberships and other events. Chamber president Veronica Seever anticipates continued growth throughout the year.
“2023 is going to be a big year for our chamber,” Seever said. “While we will always continue to be a partner for the community of Elgin, we are also putting a focus on solid, quality programming that is business focused.”
New members who signed up in January include Classic Bank, Texas Public Safety Investigations, The Nitsche Group and Carr Lane Manufacturing. Existing members who upgraded their membership were All State Casters, Elgin Livestock Show Association, Lisa Schultz, Relay for Life of Elgin, Ronin Energy, Story With Video, The Wood Group of Fairway, Parker’s Building Supply, Pyramid Pest Solutions, Reliable Tax Service, Every Penny Counts Bookkeeping and Bellflower Speech, Language and Literacy.
“We believe that the growth and all our new members is a direct reflection of the hard work that we are putting in,” Seever said. “If you aren’t already involved, now is a great time to get started.”
The Chamber has several events planned throughout February, such as open distribution at the Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry, a ribbon cutting for a new music school and a black business history series in honor of Black History Month.
