CEDAR CREEK – Halloween action starts early in Bastrop County as McKinney Roughs Nature Park prepares to host its fourth annual Tricks, Treats and Trails event.
The greenery at 1884 Texas 71 W. promises a family-friendly celebration Oct. 12, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., filled with fall fun and outdoor adventure.
“Come in your costume, bring your pet and stay for the day,” Margo Richards said, Lower Colorado River Authority senior vice president of community resources. “We’ll have lots of activities for all ages and delicious food truck options. Visitors can celebrate Halloween while exploring the 1,100-acre park along the Colorado River that includes 18 miles of multi-use trails in the Lost Pines region. “
The event will feature hayrides, yard games, an inflatable corn maze and thrilling adventure ac t ivit ies, inc luding paintball, archery and ziplining. Guests can dive into the spooky season with Halloween face painting, a pumpk in-shaped bounce house and a trick-ortreat trail filled with sweet surprises.
PigPen BBQ and Dolce Bacio Gelato will be onsite for hungry guests.
Tickets are priced at $10 for ages 13 and older and $20 for ages four to 12, with free admission for chil-dren three years and younger. A separate zipline ticket is available for $10, valid for one person. Complimentary parking will be provided.
