BASTROP — Bastrop City Council honored Debbie Steele Denny’s impact on the community last week by designating Oct. 22 as Debbie Denny Day.

Recognized for her tireless dedication and contributions, Debbie has played a key role in support ing local businesses and enriching Bastrop’s cultural scene, according to the council.

Dur ing the declaration, officials celebrated Debbie’s work as a founder of the Bastrop Downtown Business Alliance, where she helped foster a collaborative environment for local businesses. Her influence extends through her long-standing involvement with t he Bast rop Opera House, where her passion for the arts has further strengthened the community.

Debbie’s marketing expertise and unwavering enthusiasm have also been instrumental in promoting Bastrop, helping transform it into a vibrant, welcoming city, the council added.
