BASTROP — Three Bastrop Bears football standouts are taking their talents to the next level, signing letters of intent to play for Division I programs.
Ramonz Adams, a versatile athlete, committed to the University of Washington after an impressive 2024 season. Adams contributed on both sides of the ball, tallying 37 tackles and four interceptions on defense, while amassing 813 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns on offense. The young player also drew offers from Texas Tech, Arizona, Boston College and Arkansas State, according to 247Sports.
Keyshon Moore, who led the Bears with 1,056 receiving yards and six touchdowns this season, signed with the Air Force Academy. Moore also received interest from Sam Houston State, Incarnate Word, UTEP and Prairie View A&M.
Offensive lineman Jaxon Taylor will be heading to Fordham University. As a critical protector for sophomore quar terback Weston Nielsen, Taylor anchored Bastrop’s offensive line and helped power the team’s success. He fielded offers f rom Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Bryant, per 247Sports.
The Bears’ success extended beyond individual achievements, with the team securing its first district title in a decade and advancing to the second round of the playoffs. The trio’s signings cap off a memorable season for Bastrop football, program officials said.
