Midnight collision, fire kills driver

First responders confirmed the death of a driver early last week, following a collision and vehicle fire southwest of the city.

According to Austin-Travis County EMS, crews were called to the scene at 17904 Littig Road shortly after midnight Dec. 10. A vehicle reportedly caught fire during the incident, responders said.

Medical staff pronounced an unidentified adult deceased on scene, before leaving about 1 a.m.

No other injuries were reported.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances leading to the crash.
