QUILT COLLECTION BASTROP — The Bastrop Museum and Visitor Center begins showing its historic quilt collection Feb. 7, celebrating quilting traditions from the 1850s to today. Coinciding with the Airing of the Quilts, the exhibit highlights the craft’s artistry and history. The selection will run in the museum, 904 Main St., through March 30. BASTROP — “Urinetown: The Musical” begins its stay at the Bastrop Opera House Feb. 21, under the direction of Jonathan Young. This Tony Award-winning satire tackles politics, capitalism and social irresponsibility with humor and heart as a hero challenges a corrupt system controlling the city’s water.
