Two found dead in Elgin home

Elgin Police Department officers discovered two people dead early Tuesday after responding to a welfare check call in the 200 block of E. 11th Street. 

Investigators said early findings indicate the incident was isolated, with no ongoing threat to the public.

According to authorities, the Elgin Criminal Investigations Division is leading the inquiry. 

The identities of the deceased have not been released, pending notification of next of kin. More information to come.
