LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Dear Elgin Courier: It’s hard to believe it’s the last week of school for Elgin Independent School District. As I reflect on the school year, it occurs to me what a great year it’s been. We count on our schools to keep our children safe, to teach them reading, writing and arithmetic, and to enrich their lives.

The Neidig Elementary School family is doing this and so much more every day. The teamwork among staff has been encouraged by leadership that is present, inclusive, compassionate and inspired. This environment fosters kindness, creativity, and a zest for learning for the students.

As a mom of two at Neidig Elementary, I’d like to express my sincerest gratitude to each of you at Neidig. You are appreciated. Thank you for another great year. Enjoy your summer and see you in the fall. Christina Cotton
