Faye Irene Creppon
Faye Irene Creppon
Faye was born to John William Grimes and Kay Ashenfelter on Nov. 11, 1930. When Faye entered this world, she brought light into it; and that light will forever shine in everyone’s heart who knew and loved her.
After graduating from St. John School of Nursing, Faye became a registered nurse, where she worked for several Shriner hospitals and nursing homes throughout her 42-year career. Faye’s light shined as a nurse, where her kindness and passion for others brought peace and comfort to patients with terminal illnesses.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 28 years, Fred “Sonny” Creppon.
Faye, affectionately known as “Nonnie,” leaves behind her three children, Laurie Dickson and spouse Robin Dickson, Kathy Canada, and Timothy Watson; her seven grandchildren; her 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and dear friends.
We will miss her laugh, quit whit, advice for life, wonderful hugs and the love she gave. Even though we have pain in our hearts, we know she is now in heaven square dancing with the love of her life, Sonny.
Family and friends gathered at Elgin Funeral Home for visitation Saturday, Jan. 7, from noonuntil 1 p.m. Funeral service was conducted at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Hans Lillejord presiding. Interment will follow at Elgin Cemetery.
