BASTROP – Bastrop Live Music Foundation kicked off its Harmony Ridge Concert Series this past Thursday with a loud fundraising affair, highlighting performances from members of its own board of directors.

The Visit Bastrop associated program’s concert at Neighbor’s Kitchen and Yard featured shows from Daniel Ducloux, Robert Kraft and Phil Hurley, raising funds for future events.

A nonprofit organization, the foundation strives to improve local quality of life with live music performances.

The experience of listening, moving and being moved together helps foster bonds of community and connection, according to program representatives.

The crowd of 70-plus were excited to see the concert series get in motion, according to organizers.

Craig Marshall headlines the next Bastrop Songwriters Showcase Sept. 8, at 8 p.m. at Heritage Hall.
