With the city dressed in pink for its annual Hogeye Festival, the Elgin Courier will be welcoming residents and visitors alike for an open house tour of its new office.
The new space, located at 111 W. Second St., will be open Oct. 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., where the staff is eager to meet festival goers and talk about everything that goes into providing Bastrop County with its local news.
Named for a small hamlet and stage called Hogeye, which disappeared after the railroad came and Elgin was formed in 1872, the hog theme has become a centerpiece for one of the city’s biggest days of the year.
The Elgin Courier and its staff are proud to be a part of Hogeye festivities and invite all attendees to stop by, have a chat and pick up a free sticker or two.
