Tractor Supply to help home pets

Elgin’s Tractor Supply is inviting the community out this week to meet some potential pets and support local rescue efforts.

The pet adoption event, open to the public and friendly, leashed pets, will take place at the Elgin Tractor Supply Nov. 16, from 10 a.m.

to 3 p.m., 18517 E. U.S. 290. Partnering with the Bastrop Animal Shelter, which will be on-site throughout the event, the adoption fair will showcase both dogs and cats ready for a loving family.

“As an active advocate and supporter of pet rescue and adoption, Tractor Supply strives to inform our customers of the pet adoption process by providing a safe and comfortable space for placing adorable animals in welcoming homes,” said Rachael Sullivan, manager of the Elgin location. “Through this and other year-round adoption events, our goal at the Elgin store is to connect adoptable pets with interested owners.”

Attendees can also enjoy a pet treat tasting as part of the festivities.
