BASTROP — A range of rare quilts from the 1850s to present day is now on display at the Bastrop Museum & Visitor Center, 904 Main St., through March 30. “This exhibit celebrates the art of quilting, their stories and the developing community of Bastrop County,” Heather Bloom said, the museum’s collections manager. Visitors can also design a paper square to contribute to a giant community quilt. The museum hosts its next Make ’N’ Take event March 8, inviting kids 12 and under to explore textile skills like spinning and weaving.
