Elgin High School Choir members sang their way to success at the UIL Solo/Ensemble contest earlier this month.
Under the direction of Cherisa Cromer, sixteen students received first-division ratings on their solos, 12 of which qualified for the State Solo/ Ensemble Vocal/Piano Competition in May.
Their achievements reflect months of hard work and preparation, selected to represent Elgin at the state level, Elgin Independent School District officials said.
