Two shot in aggravated assault

Two adult males sustained gunshot wounds at the 600 block of Alley A, as the result of an aggravated assault around 5:45 p.m. on June 20.

Both men have been transported to nearby hospitals in undetermined conditions. The motive for the shooting is still unknown at this time.

The City of Elgin Police Department made it clear that there is no immediate danger to the public, but it is always important for residents to remain vigilant. Any suspicious behavior or urgent information can be reported by calling 911, an officer will respond.
