BASTROP – Renée Beck has been named Director of Finance for Bastrop Independent School District. Most recently, she served as the purchasing director for the Klein Independent School District. Her new role will involve the supervision of accounting, procurement, auditing, compliance with state and federal requirements, and assisting with the district’s budget.
“I am very excited to be joining the Bastrop ISD family and look forward to building long term relationships within the district and community,” said Beck.
In her 13-year educational career, in addition to Klein ISD, she also has gained experience in the areas of accounting, accounts payable supervision, and in campus/departmental support for the Galena Park and Humble school districts.
“We are excited to welcome Renée to the business department. Her experience and leadership skills will be a valuable asset to our team,” said Dina Edgar, Bastrop ISD Chief Financial Officer.
Beck is a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She is a member of the Texas Association of School Business Officials and is a Registered Texas School Business Administrator. She and her family are excited about being in Bastrop, where her children will be attending Bastrop Middle School and Bastrop High School this fall.
