MCDADE – Join the Star Party at Yegua Knobbs 2023, July 22 from 8 to 11:30 p.m. at Yegua Knobbs Preserve, 1106 Johnnie Baker Road in McDade. Escape the light pollution and observe the night sky through a powerful portable telescope brought to you by the Austin Astronomical Society. Come early to catch the sky orientation demonstration, and see the waxing crescent moon and other planets, galaxies, nebulae, star clusters, and more.

BASTROP – Eight Secrets from a Secret Shopper will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Bastrop Public Library, 1100 Church Street. In this presentation, audience members will learn the top eight lessons learned from a professional secret shopper. This presentation is for retail, restaurant or hotel owners, front-line employees, community leaders or any small business or downtown stakeholders. The audience will hear the eight things they can do to ensure the customer experience is a fantastic memorable one.
