BASTROP – The 10th annual Corvette Invasion brought nationwide enthusiasts to Bastrop for a weekend of humming motors and shared interest.
Bastrop Convention and Exhibit Center drew in over 250 luxury automobiles and a crowd to match for the largest Corvette car show in Texas, according to organizers. High-end rides filled the parking lot while the showroom housed branded vendors, riding organizations and proud Corvette owners and fans.
Keynote speaker for the event was Ben Keating, professional driver on the international stage and local Texas business owner. Keating, who operates 28 dealerships statewide, shared his insight and appreciation for the industry before receiving a flag from Texas House Representative Stan Gerdes.
The lineup included some of the rarest Corvettes to hit the market, and cars showcasing unique feats of creative engineering. Registered pieces included representatives from Texas, Louisiana, Washington, Tennessee, California and Kansas.
Awards were distributed to a chosen few, one for each generation of Corvette, C1 through C8, and a best in show.
Drivers poured onto the roads after the event, exploring the city and giving residents an added show.
