BASTROP – Lost Pines Toyota commits more to early breast cancer awareness and detection, inviting their shared community members to join them on July 28 for free screenings, as well as speeches from industry leaders and survivors.
Early detection saves lives, according to medical professionals, and the Bastrop Breast Health Coalition is is teaming up with Lost Pines Toyota to ensure that local women have the support they need to get checked. Alongside monthly visits from the Big Pink Bus, central Texas’ mobile mammography unit, dealership owner Carlos Liriano and Toyota have both donated $5,000 to expand access to breast cancer screenings for women under 40.
Liriano is set to speak alongside leader of the coalition and breast cancer survivor Linda Wilson, breast surgeon Julie Sprunt, founder of Central Texas Addressing Cancer Together Coalition Susan Dawson and more. 602 Brewing Company will be providing lunch for the affair.
