MCDADE – The Hawk Walk at Rising Sun will be from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Rising Sun Vineyard, 233 Edmonson Ranch Rd. in McDade. The interactive walk brings nature up close and personal to guests. Meet with a falconer in a class of no more than 15 individuals and learn about human’s ancient relationship with raptors through falconry. Participants must be at least 10 years old. BASTROP – Steel Magnolias will hit the stage from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Bastrop Opera House, 711 Spring St. in Bastrop. Truvy’s salon is Chinquapin, Louisiana’s go-to place for a beauty fix with a hearty side of gossip. Through witty banter and wisecracks, a hodgepodge group of women form friendships as strong as steel, which they are forced to lean on when tragedy strikes. Admission is $20.

ROSANKY – Join the Texas FireWalkers in Rosanky for the Rosanky ChiliFest 2023. The event will be hedl from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Firewalker Ranch, 3004 S. Texas Highway 304 in Rosanky. Enjoy a relaxing day of chili, ribs and cooks choice competition with chili sampling, judging opportunities, barbecue, beverages, live music, boutique vendors, a cornhole tournament and more in this fun, relaxing fundraiser.
