BRUNCH WITH SANTA AT PINEY CREEK BASTROP – Brunch with Santa, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., will feature a buffet at Piney Creek Chop House, 703 Chestnut St. in historic downtown Bastrop, with a full bar for adults to enjoy while children are being entertained by Santa and his elves. Your little ones will have a private brunch with Santa set in a magical candy land and served by elves. A cookie decorating station with a live gingerbread man and elves helping create their masterpiece to take home. Time slots will allow children to enjoy each station. SCREAM HOLLOW TWISTED CHRISTMAS SMITHVILLE – Each night from 7 p.m. to midnight, Krampus arrives and makes his trek through the forests and buildings of Scream Hollow, 149 Split Rail Lane in Smithville, for some of the darker Christmas traditions with Christmas haunts based on the historical legends and lore of Krampus. Live music, coffin cat bar, cafe, bakery, vendors and more at this mainly outdoor park. Due to its “authenticity” of characters and haunts, this park is best for older children and adults.
