BASTROP — Historic downtown Bastrop held its holiday market and parade this past weekend, with thousands of visitors coming out to ring in the holidays.
Local artisans and vendors tailored their selections to help shoppers find that last missing Christmas gift, and before the sun set the streets were lined with chairs of eager parade-goers. This year’s lineup shone bright with floats from young students, staple businesses and new groups of the area, the biggest lighted parade in the county, according to attendees.
