Candidate filing opens Jan. 17

Filings open Jan. 17 for invested residents interested in running for Elgin City Council.

Eligible seats in the upcoming general municipal election, scheduled for May 4, include mayor, ward 1, ward 2, ward 3 and ward 4.

Applications for a spot on the ballot will be accepted through Feb. 16., available at https://www.elgintexas.gov/1165/Candidates.

Completed applications can be submitted in person at 310 N. Main St., mailed to P.O. Box 591, Elgin, Texas, 78621, or emailed to [email protected].
