FORT WORTH — Bastrop County was well represented Friday, Jan. 5 as Bastrop High School, Cedar Creek High School and Smithville High School all competed in the UIL Spirit State Championships held at the Fort Worth Convention Center in their respective classes.
BASTROP BEARS
Bastrop scored 44.05 on band chant, 40.65 on fight song and 59.50 on crowd leading. The Bears under Head Coach Ashtin Beyer were represented by Claire Adams, Sierra Alexander, Ella Davis, McKayla Flores, Lillian Gregory, Laney Kincaid, Sydney Moilan, Morgan Odom, Aiva Pace, Kierra Patino, Kei Pormprasong, Rylee Renshaw, Peyton Stewart, Alana Stitler, Kailee Weldon-Diaz, Laci Willett, Rhianna Williams and Macy Wilt.
CEDAR CREEK EAGLES
Cedar Creek scored 40.85 on band chant, 39.50 on fight song and 66.50 on crowd leading. The Eagles under Head Coach Cassie Kovar were represented by Emily Torres, Kaylee Fitzhugh, Arianna Cisneros, Anniah Garcia, Kaley Deutsch, Evelyn Martin, Taelynn Price, Kendal Farr, Saray Cornelius, Serena Mata, Faith Frank, Emily Dodge, Madison Spiro, Makayla Fleming, Liliana Roberts, Naia Laurent, Emma Becker, Kailey Martinez, Brookelynne Godfrey, Tina Overall, Deana Harris, Marianna Campos and Elizabeth Castillo.
SMITHVILLE TIGERS
Smithville scored 34.10 on band chant, 55.55 on fight song and 57.25 on crowd leading. The Tigers under Head Coach Bethany Collins were represented by Kalynn Hodges, Jade Elam, Brianna Johnson, Jade Hernandez, Caylee Johns, Darcy Mullen, Amanda Wood, Brittney Collins, Taydan Garcia and Karah Goertz.
