BASTROP — In a dominant performance, the Bastrop High School girls varsity soccer team had it all come together Feb. 2 at home as the Lady Bears put a 7-2 beatdown on Pflugerville Connally High School.
Lady Bears senior Olivia Altamirano continued her strong 2024 season for Bastrop as she went off with four goals scored in the lopsided win over the visiting Lady Cougars.
Bastrop also had goals scored from senior Mckayla Flores, junior Sandy Fuentes and another score from Nancy Aviles as the Lady Bears picked up their first win in 5A-District 23 play.
The Lady Bears (8-5-1 overall, 1-2-1 district record) under Head Coach Leslie Rangel are scheduled Feb. 6 to travel to take on Elgin High School and will return home Friday, Feb. 9 to host rival Cedar Creek High School.
