AUSTIN — Area schools competed over the weekend at the Texas Relays meet held at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin. Elgin High School, Bastrop High School, Cedar Creek High School and Smithville High School all had athletes in action competing in their respective events.
ELGIN
33rd of 46 - Isaac Carter, Xavier Penson, Gary Jefferson and Zaire Nuells in the boys 4x100-meter relay with a time of 44.76 seconds.
34th of 53 - Makayla Taylor-Bowman, Layla Whitman, Kailyn Cook and Ta’Myra Walker in the girls 4x100-meter relay with a time of 50.81 seconds.
