The team dedicated to bringing important local coverage to Bastrop County is expanding its outreach with a new hire.
Robert Nickel joined the Courier this week as its new sales representative.
An Elgin native, Nickel ha s deep roots in the community and a strong commitment to its success.
“My connection to the people and the pulse of this area runs deep, making me uniquely positioned to understand and serve the needs of our local businesses and residents,” Nickel said. “For over a decade, I’ve been dedicated to this community, not just as a business professional but as a neighbor, volunteer and active participant in local events.”
Nickel served in the Marine Corps before transitioning into sales, where he developed the discipline, accountability and integrity he brings to his work today, he said.
“These values have guided me in all my professional endeavors and will continue to do so as I embark on this new chapter with the local newspaper,” Nickel added.
In his spare time, Nickel contributes to local youth athletics, spends quality time with his family and engages in community- service activities.
“I’m eager to bring my passion for our town and my commitment to service to this new role, where I look forward to helping local businesses grow and residents connect and thrive,” Nickel said.
