Blades back in Bastrop

Blades back in Bastrop

BASTROP – The Lost Pines Knife Show will make its return to the Bastrop Convention Center next weekend with family-friendly activities, live demonstrations and opportunities to get hands-on with expert knifemakers.

Visitors will have the chance to meet dozens of custom knifemakers and watch live forging demonstrations Sept. 28-29. Those feeling adventurous can even try their hand at forging, including the unique experience of crafting a horseshoe knife with 'Forged in Fire' champion Justin Hammond.

The event also features historical artifacts from The Alamo and the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame, giving attendees a glimpse into Texas history. For the more competitive crowd, the BladeSports International cut competition will showcase incredible precision and skill.

During the event, families can enjoy axe throwing, live music and a variety of food trucks, along with beer and wine for the adults.
