MEEC MEETING

MCDADE – The next meeting of the McDade Extension Education Club will be held Sept. 18, 10 a.m., at Faith Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 230 Waco St. in McDade. YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN BASTROP – The electrifying adaptation of Mel Brooks’ monstrously funny film continues its stay at the Bastrop Opera House, 711 Spring St. Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein inherits his family’s estate in Transylvania. RELAY FOR LIFE GOLF TOURNAMENT BASTROP – Local golfers will have the opportunity to hit the links and help raise money for a local charitable cause Sept. 21. The third annual Relay For Life of Elgin Golf Tournament will be at the ColoVista Golf Club in Bastrop, 100 Country Club Drive, benefiting the American Cancer Society, check in at 8 a.m., $100 per person.
