Aviator Pizza & Drafthouse is making strides toward its new location in Elgin, providing an update on the construction process that has generated excitement among local residents.
The restaurant plans to submit its construction plans for permitting in the early part of next month, signaling a step closer to opening its doors. While the timeline has taken longer than anticipated, the team at Aviator Pizza remains optimistic.
“It’s taking way longer than we wanted to get to this point, but I assure you this place will be built beautifully and successfully,” said a restaurant representative in a recent release.
According to the business, the city has been supportive throughout the whole process, stating that “All of the City Council members and the city manager have been fantastic and have regularly reached out to us.”
In addition to the encouraging suppor t, interest rates and construction expenses are starting to decrease, which is especially beneficial for a project of this scale, according to the team.
As construction moves forward, Aviator Pizza & Drafthouse invites the community to join them for Oktoberfest, promising a festive atmosphere while they work toward their new home in Elgin.
