Arthur Mar t i ne z , current principal of Neidig Elementary School, has b e e n se lected as the new principal of Trinity Ranch Elementary School, opening in fall 2025.
“We are happy to announce Dr. Arthur Martinez as the first Princ ipal of Tr i n ity Ranch Element a r y School,” said Elgin Independent School District Superintendent of Schools Jana Rueter. “Dr. Martinez will look to provide engaging and innovative experiences for all students, so they are provided choice and opportunity for their future.”
Mar tinez br ings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as an assistant high school principal, an English teacher and an instructional coach. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Huston-Tillotson University, a master’s degree from Lamar University and a doctoral degree from Concordia University. In addition, he has been an adjunct professor at Huston-Tillotson since 2022.
Trinity Ranch Elementary is currently under const ruct ion in the Trinity Ranch subdivision, located just south of U.S. 290 at Grist Mill Lane and Upper Elgin River Road. The school is designed to accommodate up to 900 students and is set to open next year as the fifth elementary school in Elgin ISD. It is the second of two new elementary schools constructed through the voter-approved 2021 Elgin ISD Bond.
A new principal for Neidig Elementa r y School has not yet been named, according to the district. In the case of Harvest Ridge Elementary, which opened earlier this year, it was several months before a replacement was announced at Elgin Elementar y, former campus of principal Megan Wehrle.
