Elgin High School’s Automotive Tech students put their skills to the test earlier this month at the Toyota Express Maintenance competition in Round Rock. The contest, which simulates real-world vehicle diagnostics and repairs used by Toyota service technicians, challenged students to work in teams and fix vehicles with pre-set errors. EHS junior Elizabeth Salinas and senior Juan Serrano earned an impressive fifth place overall. Juniors Juan Ramirez and Lizzy Alvarez also gained valuable experience, preparing for a strong showing next year. Photo courtesy of Elgin ISD
