Elgin Middle School’s theater department recently put on festive performances on back to back nights, Dec. 16-17.
The program showcased The Best Christmas Pageant Ever by Barbara Robinson. EMS teacher Katie Brock directed the play.
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever tells the story of a group of naughty kids who end up starring in the local church’s Christmas pageant. The community expects the pageant to go horribly wrong, but to everyone’s surprise, it turns out to be a wildly entertaining spectacle.
“From the moment you entered the school, you knew you would be in for a treat,” said Elgin ISD coordinator of fine arts Alyson Keller. “The Elgin Middle School’s student’s portrayal of the characters drew in the audience. They were so committed to their roles and the portrayal of their characters.”
