Everett Zab Clement

Everett “Smiley” Zab Clements passed away May 21, 2024. Smiley was born April 6, 1942, in Austin. He is survived by his wife, Connie; his son, Mike Clements and wife JoAnn; his son, John Clements and wife Shilo; his stepdaughter, Tammy and husband Johnny Rodriguez; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family and friends gathered to celebrate Smiley’s life Wednesday, May 29, at 11 a.m. at Meyer’s BBQ, 188 Highway 290, in Elgin.

In his honor, the family will provided a traditional barbecue meal accompanied by some of Smiley’s favorite tunes.
