He entered the ministry as a young adult and spent over 60 years pastoring and presiding over Deliverance Temple International. He came to Elgin, in 1988 to take the role of senior pastor at the Coon-Neck Community Church, now known as the Family Worship Center, where he actively served until the time of his passing.

His life was a testament of the character and integrity that he held dear, and he will be greatly missed. Ahbeedah Boppie.

He is survived by wife, Carol; his five children and a quiver full of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 14, atProvidence Jones Family Funeral Home. A home going celebration will be Saturday, June 15, at 10 a.m. at Family Worship Center in Elgin.

He will be laid to rest in the church Cemetery.
